Spring break is almost here!! Many thanks to Jess Bridges and Sheryl Reilly for providing our teachers with a fantastic WOOT this week.

WORLD CULTURES NIGHT (May 1)
We are so excited to welcome back World Cultures Night, an opportunity to explore and appreciate cultural diversity in our community and beyond. There are many ways to get involved—hosting a country table, participating in the talent show, or walking the runway in traditional clothing or a sports jersey. IMPROVE OUR ANGIER GARDEN (May 3)
Our beloved Angier garden needs a little love this spring. Angier families, alums, and the broader Waban community are invited to join us on Sunday, May 3 as we complete a community service day to improve our garden. Children are welcome to participate! We will have snacks, sidewalk chalk, plus easy access to the playground. This event is part of the city’s Newton Serves day. Please grab a pair of gloves and sign up here!
AN AFTERNOON OF PLAY AND COMMUNITY APPRECIATION (May 3)
Join the Angier community on the back plaza and playground as we show appreciation for our Angier community, teachers, and staff, and celebrate our new swings! We’ll have snacks, outdoor activities, and more! Mark your calendars and more details coming soon!

Garden City Kindergarten Soccer – Registration closes 4/18!
Garden City Kindergarten Soccer is a non-profit program that offers co-ed soccer programs in the Spring and Fall for PreK and kindergarten kiddos at **PEIRCE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL**. Proceeds go to Newton Public School PTOs of the participants.Our Kindergarten League is for children enrolled in kindergarten during the current school year (fall and spring). Our Pre-K League is ideal for children between the ages of 4 and 5 years old who will enter kindergarten next fall. Register here.

Service Stars Grown-up Night Out
Service Stars is excited to invite NPS parents to a grown-ups night out/evening service project. We’re gathering at Tempo in Waltham and putting together Mother’s Day baskets for The Wish Project, an organization bringing care and dignity to mothers in need. 20th Annual Waban Village Day and Family Fun Run – Sunday, May 17
Please save the date for the 20th Annual Waban Village Day and Family Fun Run – Sunday, May 17th from 10:00am – 2:00pm. These family-friendly events will be kicked off by the Fun Run at 10:00am and continue throughout the day in Waban Square with rides and amusements for kids of all ages, vendor tables and live music. Food will be available for purchase from local Newton favorite, Che! Empanada and Cool Cow Ice Cream. Racers of all ages are encouraged to participate in the Fun Run, including children who are permitted to ride bikes and scooters along the racecourse. Walkers and those with strollers are also welcome. We will stick with the new Fun Run route we rolled out last year to avoid high-traffic areas and create a safer, more spacious experience for all participants. The main route is about 1.7 miles, with an optional 2nd loop on Waban Ave bringing the total to approximately 2.8 miles. See the route map on the event website. In order to be guaranteed a Fun Run race-day t-shirt, you must PRE-REGISTER for the Fun Run no later than Friday, May 1st. If you are interested in hosting a vendor table at the Waban Village Day event, register by clicking HERE. Both adults and kids are encouraged to participate.
