From the Principal Message

Angier in ActionWeek of June 8th, 2025

GREETINGS!

Dear Angier Families,

The end of the year is approaching, but we are managing to squeeze a lot in. What a special stretch of days it’s been! Color Day was a blast. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a joyful experience. It’s truly a core memory for so many of our students.

Our Art Show, chorus concerts, band and orchestra informances, and Book Swap were each incredible in their own ways. The Green Team also organized a successful playground and field clean-up on Wednesday afternoon. I’m blown away by the talent, creativity, and kindness of our students!

These kinds of experiences don’t just happen. They reflect our whole Angier community of teachers, students, and families working together to make school both meaningful and fun. I’m grateful every day to be part of our school where learning looks like this. Thank you!

Have a great week ahead!

Warmly,

Orla

As the school year winds down, we want to acknowledge several upcoming June holidays that some in our community may be observing. Wishing a joyful Shavuot to those observing. NEWTON FREE LIBRARY SUMMER READING 2025 – LEVEL UP AT YOUR LIBRARY

Each year, the Newton Public Schools Library Department partners with the Newton Free Library to curate and share summer book recommendations for students. These are NOT mandatory reads; they serve as a helpful guide for students to discover books for their enjoyment throughout June, July and August. We encourage all students to take part in the Library’s summer reading program, Level Up at Your Library!

NEWTON’S S.P.A.C.E. CAMP

Newton’s S.P.A.C.E.  is a four-week summer enrichment program run by the Newton Public Schools from July 7th  through July 31st.  This year, it will be held at Angier. Students entering kindergarten through 9th grade in the Fall of 2025 are eligible to attend.  We offer two programs – an upper camp (entering 5th-9th grade) and a lower camp (entering kindergarten- 4th grade).

LOWER CAMP – Campers are assigned to age appropriate classes taught by two licensed teachers.  Teachers create project-based activities that focus on the theme of the lower camp.  Last summer, the theme was “Summer Olympics”.  Campers learned about the history, countries, cultures, and sports of the Olympics.  Lower Campers will also attend various specials throughout the week led by certified staff, which include Physical Education, Yoga/Mindfulness, Art and Science classes.

UPPER CAMP –  Campers will create their own schedules by choosing from a variety of electives to design their own camp program.  Elective choices include studio and digital arts, performing arts, athletics, STEM, music, and language arts classes.

Check out the S.P.A.C.E.website  for more information or REGISTER NOW!
