This week at Angier
- Dec. 15 – 19 – Teacher Appreciation Week
Dear Angier Families,
Snow alert! Our first flurries have arrived—cue the scramble for mismatched mittens and the inevitable search for that one boot that’s always missing. Hope you all survived the weekend’s winter wonderland adventures, whether you built a snowman or just admired the flakes from the warmth of your kitchen. And now, a gigantic thank you to our unstoppable Technology Team—Allie Keller, Lindsey Sandell, Caroline Levy & Talya Weinman—for pulling off a Tech Panel that still has us all talking. You guys rock! And, last week’s WOOT WOOT squad—Shirley and Tim DeChant—really brought the love, and Angier’s still buzzing from all that good energy.
ART POP-UP FOR CHARITY!
Our talented Angier artists have been busy crafting masterpieces—bookmarks, cards, and coasters—that you’ll cherish forever (or at least until someone spills cocoa on them). Every grade is involved, so creativity levels are off the charts. This annual Art Pop-Up Sale is basically a festival of color, kindness, and community spirit. All proceeds go directly to the Newton Food Pantry, because we believe small acts of art can make a big difference—and small hands can make big messes. Swing by and shop for unique, handmade items while supporting local families. You’ll find the art team stationed on the front plaza Wednesday, Dec. 17 (weather permitting, snow dance required!) and the back plaza Thursday, Dec. 18.
STILL NEED TO FINISH YOUR HOLIDAY CARD?
If you’ve been procrastinating, don’t panic! Minted has your back. Use the code FUNDRAISEANGIERPTO to save 20% on your order, and the PTO gets 10% back—it’s a win-win, like finding extra marshmallows in your hot chocolate.
HELPING WHERE IT COUNTS
Stocking the Newton Community Freedge—sign up here! Please reach out to the co-Presidents team or Andrea Fong with questions. Your generosity makes our community a little brighter (and the fridge a lot fuller).
LOST AND FOUND
The lost and found (at the bottom of the center stairs) is overflowing! Please check to see if there are any items belonging to your family. Anything not claimed by December 19th will be donated to families in need.
As always, your Angier PTO team is here to answer questions, solve mysteries, or just chat about the best sledding spots. Reach out anytime!
Warmly,
Katherine, Jessica & Michelle
